China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently released air quality status for 168 key cities across the country from January through October this year.

Xiamen's air quality ranked sixth overall.

The country's top five cities included Haikou, Lhasa, Zhuhai, Zhoushan and Huangshan.

Cities at the bottom of the list included Handan, Xingtai, Zibo, Jiaozuo and Jincheng.
