East China's Xiamen is scheduled to host the 2020 Spartan Race-Xiamen competition on Nov. 14 with 3,000 participants to take part in the event.

Themed "Be Unbreakable," the competition consists of a Spartan Kid Race, a Spartan Sprint Race and a Spartan Super Race. In the Spartan Kid Race, kids have to run 4 kilometers through 24 hurdles. In the Spartan Sprint Race, participants have to run 6.3 kilometers through 23 hurdles, while the super competition is 10.2 kilometers with 28 hurdles.

According to the organizers, this year, the adults competition includes a challenging hurdle, the Caduceus, in which the participants cannot use any supports and can only use the crossrails in the track to get through the hurdle and ring the bell.

The Spartan Race was first held in Xiamen in 2018 and had been successfully held for the past two years.
