Xiamen Port debuts Fujian's first port-located mobile quarantine cabin
Xiamen Port last week debuted a new portable quarantine cabin that can be used to conduct health inspections for sailors returning from overseas.
A group of seven Chinese crewmembers from the CSCL Mars container-ship underwent the cabin's inaugural health inspection last week.
Services include body temperature checks, epidemiological investigation and the collection of nasopharyngeal swab samples.
The cabin can be towed by a trailer and quickly deployed to open berths receiving crewmembers from points abroad.
The 13.4-square-meter cabin features an air purification and sterilization system to reduce cross-infection among crew members.
