Xiamen begins trial supervision for B2B cross-border e-commerce exports

2020-07-10 09:26

Local Customs officials last week announced that trial supervisions are now underway for B2B cross border online commerce export transactions. The pilot program is currently being tested at 10 sites in China.

The move is a recognition of the expansion of online commerce from personal overseas shopping to include transactions between businesses and consumers (B2C) and between businesses (B2B).

The trial program includes items such as shelving, wine racks and food carts. It covers domestic companies working with overseas enterprises on cross border online commerce platforms. The program also covers transactions in which items are first moved to overseas warehouses and then sold via online platforms.

The B2B export supervision procedure is designed to streamline customs clearance for commodities traded online for use in events such as the Guangzhou Export Commodities Fair and the China International Import Expo.
