Shuangshi Middle School carried out an epidemic prevention drill at its Fanghu campus last week.

The drill included the use of five workstations created by locally-based King Long for use in the detection and prevention of infectious disease outbreaks.

The workstations include the ability to detect within 10 seconds individuals with a temperature above 37.3 degrees Celsius and to initiate disinfection procedures.

The middle school plans to deploy a total of 10 workstations across both its campuses and dormitory facilities.

The workstations will also be deployed at a number of area schools including Jimei University, Xiamen Number One High School and Wuyuan Number Two Experimental School.
