Representatives of the Xiamen Human Resource and Social Security Bureau last week announced combined subsidies of 188 million yuan for local enterprises in an effort to stabilize local employment.

Companies that do not have job cuts in 2020 or that have a layoff rate lower than the Xiamen urban registered unemployment rate through the end of 2020 will be eligible for a refund of half of its 2019 unemployed insurance premiums.
