China-Europe freight rail services between Xiamen and Eurasia have expanded over the first 10 months of this year. A total of 382 trips were made, an increase over the same period in 2018, according to the Zhangzhou train operation depot.

The China-Europe Railway Express (Xiamen) posted a transportation revenue of 13.49 million yuan ($192.18 million), up 78,850 yuan year on year, and the annual transportation revenue is expected to exceed 100 yuan in the future.

Xiamen, a city in East China's Fujian province known for its deep-water port, is a key city in the Belt and Road Initiative. Its advantageous geographical position offers a "golden logistics channel" for companies involved in international trade.

The China-Europe Railway Express (Xiamen), launched in 2015, has seen huge growth in its transportation revenue, from 6.32 million yuan in 2015 to 95.71 million yuan in 2018. The city currently offers 48 regular routes to Europe, including five land routes and 43 sea routes, allowing for seamless transitions between the Silk Road and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
