Xiamen makes huge progress in bridge construction

2019-09-17 10:15

The skywalks project in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, recently achieved major progress, when the 1,158-ton part of the skywalk above the Yingtan-Xiamen Railway section successfully rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise Sept 15.

According to a project engineer, in order to reduce the impact on the Yingtan-Xiamen Railway, the construction team first built a bridge parallel to the railway, and then turned the whole part anticlockwise to achieve docking with the approach bridge.

It is the first bridge in Xiamen to be built in this way. The whole process took less than an hour.
