With the conceptual design being published, the “Eye of Xiamen” has officially been put on the agenda.

According to the Xiamen Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the project will be located in the northeast of Xiamen island, around the Wutong-Gaolin area, with an approximate size of 19.73 hectares.

The program got its name, the “Eye of Xiamen,” from its shape, which resembles an eye. The “Eye of Xiamen” is an area that includes office buildings, film and television industry bases, parks, and also a  luxury hotel.

The design suggests that once completed, the new landmark will be home to a movie and television cultural forum, a super movie and television  complex, a movie and television production base, a training center for movie and television talents, and a movie and television industry fund.
