Feng Mantian or Martin  is a 56 year old musician who has been playing the Ruan, a Chinese plucked-string instrument with a history of over 2,000 years, since the age of four.  Known as 'Master of the Ruan', he is also 'a restorer of traditional Chinese culture'. He believes, “A musician should keep himself in awe of music, remain introspective, and continue to innovate in order to break through. Only by looking down at fame and fortune and persevering with practice, can one discover the soul of music.”
