2018 “Young Star Ambassadors” Xiamen Youth English Proficiency Competition to open tomorrow

Jointly sponsored by the Xiamen Municipal Education Bureau, the Information Office of Xiamen Municipal Government, the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government and Xiamen Daily, and organized by Xiamen Academy of Educational Science, Xiamen Network and Xiamen English Network, the 2018 “Young Star Ambassadors” Xiamen Youth English Proficiency Competition is set to kick off this Saturday.

According to the organizing committee, more than 2,000 students from primary and secondary schools will compete in the individual and group events in eight groups: Individual A, Individual B, Individual C, Individual D, Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D.

As one of the key activities of 7th Xiamen Cyber Culture Festival, the 2018 Xiamen Youth English Proficiency Competition aims at promoting the popularity of English language among local primary and secondary students, while showcasing the innovative, beautiful, harmonious, and cultural achievements of Xiamen.

It is said the the Individual A and Individual B, two games of the first round, will be held on May 5th and 6th respectively.
