Campus concerts inaugurated in Jimei

A weekend music program was launched in Jimei district of Xiamen on April 13, with 12 university students staging multiple performances from singing and dancing to poetry reciting.
Jimei district, situated at the southeast part of the city, covers an area of 276 square kilometers and is home to numerous universities such as Huaqiao University, Jimei University and Xiamen University of Technology.
The event, sponsored by the Jimei publicity department and a local media company, is part of local authorities' efforts to establish a platform for college students to showcase their talents and boost cooperation and exchanges between companies and universities in the district.
The program, comprised of 20 events, is slated to run until December.
