Fair promotes cross-Straits cultural exchanges



The Cross-Straits (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair opened in Xiamen, a port city in East China's Fujian province, on Nov 2.


The fair, which celebrates its eleventh edition this year, occupies 73,000 square meters with 3,440 exhibition booths.



A total of 424 Taiwan businesses attended the fair, with 926 booths displaying over 10,000 pieces of exhibits from the island, making it one of the biggest cross-Straits cultural expos on the Chinese mainland.


Under the theme of "Inheritance and innovation", the fair is composed of five sections, focusing on cultural enterprises, craftworks, creative designs, digital content and films and television as well as cultural and creative tourism.


The fair is organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Radio and Television Administration and Fujian's provincial People's government.
