In November 2016, the China-ASEAN Marine Cooperation Center, which has been carefully planned for two years, settled in Xiamen. As a result of this platform, China and ASEAN countries can improve and speed up cooperation in their marine industries, marine trade and investment, marine science and technology, marine environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, marine culture, marine management and interconnection at sea.

Accordingly, the first edition of the training workshop was successfully held during the 2017 WOW, with the theme "Green Ecological Aquaculture".
