China Leisure Fishery Forum held in Xiamen

The 3rd China Leisure Fishery Forum (CLFF) and the 2018 Training Workshop for Leaders and Management from the Chinese Recreational Fisheries were both held in Xiamen on November 8th.

 

The forum attracted more than 200 attendees from across the country, including governmental officials, industrial leaders, organizational delegates, as well as experts from universities and research institutes.

 

 

They explored the role of recreational fisheries in advancing the government’s rural vitalization strategy.

 

Ning Zhizhong, a senior engineer from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research at the China Academy of Science, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

 

 

In his speech, he suggested that we combine fisheries with tourism and at the same time carry forward fishery culture to promote rural vitalization.

 

The new logo of China Recreational Fisheries was unveiled during the forum.

 

 

Additionally, the 2018 China Recreational Fisheries Development Report was released by Jiang Kaiyong, deputy inspector of the Fisheries Administration at the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

 

 

Lectures, interviews, and meetings were also scheduled.

 

The forum was sponsored by China Society of Fisheries, China Recreational Angling Association, and Valued Show Management (Xiamen) LLC.
