Representatives of the Xiamen branch of the Red Cross Society of China recently attended a donation ceremony in Linxia, Gansu.

Red Cross officials announced that a 244,000-yuan assistance will be in place this year. The funds will be jointly supervised by donors and Linxia Red Cross.

The Xiamen branch of the Red Cross Society also announced that it will donate more than 1,000 pairs of goggles collectively worth approximately 50,000 yuan to the Linxia Social Welfare Institute for use by local medical staff.

The organization also donated 220 down jackets worth 44,000 yuan to Linxia's Civil Affairs Bureau.
