Xiamen's gardens and landscaping bureau announced last week that the city has created approximately 22,000 public parking area spots for bicycles and electric vehicles recently.

The parking areas can accommodate more than 100,000 non-motorized vehicles. The bureau organizes monthly inspections of parking areas citywide, identifying more than 100 areas for improvement in March alone.

Entities notified of rectifiable issues have a correction rate of about 90 percent to date.
