According local tax officials, Xiamen's imports and exports totaled 225.4 billion yuan in the first quarter of this year.

Tax authorities handled direct export tax rebates totaling 802 billion yuan, up year-on-year by 14.3 percent.

Local tax authorities noted that tax bureau is promoting a new mechanism for export tax rebate services and supervision and working to support the stability of foreign trade and growth.
