The city of Xiamen reopened last Saturday an initial batch of 71 local parks, including Bailuzhou park, Haiwan park, the Xiamen Botanical Gardens, the Xiamen Horticultural Expo Garden and Zhongshan park. All local parks were closed on January 26 due to the covid-19 outbreak.

Park visitors must wear masks and submit to temperature checks. Guests must present identification at parks with entry fees and the number of entrants is metered. Group events are prohibited, including dancing, singing and playing cards as well as eating or drinking together.

Commercial activities remain closed. Indoor pavilions, children's recreation areas and animal exhibit areas also remain closed.
