High-speed rail links Ninghua and Xiamen
Provincial officials announced recently that the high-speed rail line between Ninghua and Quanzhou is now officially open. The line permits high-speed cargo and passenger flow along the line's path from Ninghua through Qingxi, Mingxi, Datian, Dehua and Yongchun.
When the full railway is completed, Xiamen will directly link to these cities via high-speed rail, reducing the travel time beween Ninghua and Xiamen to 2.5 hours.
The Xingguo-Quanzhou railway originates in Xingguo, Jiangxi, and passes through Ningdu before terminating in Quanzhou. The rail line supports a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The Ninghua-Quanzhou portion of the Xingguo-Quanzhou railway begins in Ninghua and includes stops in Qingxi, Mingxi, Sanyuan, Yong'an, Datian, Dehua, Yongchun, Anxi and Nan'an.
The 300-kilometer line is expected to be complete in 2022 and will cost an estimated 25 billion yuan.
