Martial arts masters compete in Xiamen

The Xiamen International Wushu Competition kicked off last Friday at the Jiageng Gymnasium in Jimei.

 

More than 6,000 contestants and 400 teams from home and abroad attended the seventh edition of the four-day martial arts event, which is the biggest of its kind.

 

Event organizers included China's General Administration of Sport, the China Wushu Association, the Fujian Sport Bureau, the district of Jimei, the Wushu Management Center and the Xiamen Sports Bureau.

 

Participants included teams from dozens of Chinese provinces as well as more than 30 countries, including delegations from Brazil, India, Nigeria and the U.S.
