Xiamen International Football Club in full swing

On the shores of beautiful Yundang Lake, there is an international football club-Xiamen International Football Club (XMIFC). Formed of players from 35 different countries,the club was founded in August 2006 by three football lovers, namely Danilo from Germany, Peter from Taipei and Xiao Xu from Xiamen. 

 
It has gathered many football lovers who work or study in this beautiful city, including some former professional players, college and middle school students. It is also the main organizer of the yearly famous government approved Gulangyu Cup.

 
The XMIFC features a men’s and a women’s team and both partake in local and international tournaments throughout the year on top of the weekly trainings.

 


XMIFC Men Team is an amateur football team based in Xiamen, China, with men players from all over the world. The team have been playing together since 2006 and have become very strong over the years.  

 
They have participated  in many local and overseas  tournaments, such as the well-known Galaah Cup organised by B52 Carnegie's FC in Taipei, which the XMIFC Men won in 2015.

 
They alsoparticipate  in the 7 and 11 a side leagues throughout the year in Xiamen. They became the 1st in the 2016 11-a-Side League and 3d in the 2017 11-a-Side League. In the 2016 Gulangyu Cup, XMIFC Green Team led their team to victory becoming 1st and the XMIFC Red Team ranked  3d.
 

The menteam, which are made up of over 40 active players and have become a family by now, meet every Thursday evening to train together.

 
XMIFC Women Team have been playing together for one year and have been improving steadily. The women team played their first tournament last June at the Gulangyu Cup 2016 and partook in a tournament in Sanya in March 2017 and a tournament in Shenzhen in April 2017. The team meet twice a week: tactics training with professional coaches on Monday evenings and friendly games during the weekend either among themselves or against public middle and high school women teams.
