Famous American ophthalmologist to provide consultations in Xiamen

In the afternoon of October 29th and 30th, Professor Wang Mingwu from the University of Arizona College of Medicine will visit Xiamen to provide consultations for patients with eye diseases.

 
The registration is open to the public. Patients can make an appointment in advance through the official website, Weibo and WeChat of the Xiamen Eye Center of Xiamen University.

Cornea, which is commonly known as the "black eyes",  is the transparent front part of the eye. If the eyes are suffering  trauma, the cornea is very easy to rupture and be infected, which may result in blurred vision or blindness.

 
Keratopathy is the main cause of blindness and  a major factor in enucleation of the eye. At present, there are about 4 million people suffering from Keratopathy in China.Wang Mingwu isa specialist in Keratopathy and refraction. Now he serves as the Director of the Cornea and External Disease Service at the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science,University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is also the fellowship of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology(ARVO).
