Seashine Group begins subsidized pricing for vegetables

The Seashine Group launched an emergency plan to stabilize the price of key food prices in the wake of a spike in vegetable prices caused by recent heavy rainfall in China.
Xiamen residents can purchase ten types of vegetables at fixed prices at all Minxing Fresh Supermarkets, which are operated by the Seashine Group.
Local authorities say that the company's subsidized pricing has reduced demand and prices for vegetables at the Bashi, Daxuelu and Songbai farmer's markets by approximately 15 percent.
