Drum Off 2014 Champion visits Xiamen
Emerging American drummer Shariq Tucker visited Shanghai United International School,Xiamen Campus and delivered a masterful performance Tuesday (Oct. 10).
The wonderful percussion show received the thumbs up from the whole little audience. Many children also swayed with the rhythm.
The talented Bronx drumming phenomenon, who has been playing drum since he was 3, is a leading Gospel player in the world. He has played with gospel recording artists Jason and Jonathan Nelson. He was also the Guitar Center Drum Off 2014 Champion.
Xu Wei, vice president of the campus, says an elective drumset course will be offered since next week . She believes watching Mr. Tucker’s performance is a good opportunity for the studentsto feel the beauty of percussion music .
