Spring is the time to enjoy flowers

Li Mei: Hi Adam, have you ever been to the Yongfu Cherry Garden in Zhangping?

亚当，你去过漳平永福的樱花园吗？

Adam: No, but I've seen some pictures. It looks like a lovely tea garden lined with beautiful cherry blossom trees.

没去过，但我看过照片。茶园点缀着一排排颜色鲜艳的樱花，美极了。

Li Mei: Yes and spring ushers in a spectacular natural flower show.

是的，春光正好，花都开了。

Adam: Oh, did you go there recently?

你是什么时候去的？

Li Mei: I went there during Spring Festival. From the end of February, the cherry trees really start to bloom and their flowers typically last a few weeks.

我是春节期间去的。二月底，樱花开始绽放，花期通常会持续几周。

Adam: Wow this is the perfect time for a wonderful floral excursion.

哇，春天正是踏青赏花的好时节。

Li Mei: Sure. When there's a light breeze, the cherry blossoms fall on the ground and create an amazing "cherry blossom rain" that is a perfectly romantic background for photos.

当然，微风徐来，樱花随风飘落，形成令人惊艳的“樱花雨”， 成为可供拍照的浪漫景观。

Adam: I'm imagining a lovely afternoon sitting under the flowering trees and having a picnic or just watching the blossoms quietly fall in the wind.

好棒，可以在樱花树下野餐、烧烤，或者只是欣赏静静随风飘落的花瓣。

Li Mei: Actually, Xiamen also offers several scenic spots for flower gazing. Great spots include Haicang's Dapingshan Park as well as the cole flower fields of Xiang'an, where the bright yellow flowers carpet the ground.

事实上，你在厦门就能欣赏到类似的风景，海沧大屏山公园的花很美，翔安的油菜花也吸引了不少游客，色彩鲜艳的油菜花田如同为大地铺了地毯。

Adam: And there are always the peach blossoms in Wenzeng Road and Zhonglun Park.

文曾路和忠仑公园的桃花也开了。

Li Mei: You're right, the pink peach blossoms radiate an irresistible charm. Perhaps the blooming flowers will help you meet your special someone.

Adam: I hope so. It all sounds hopelessly romantic and I know that descriptions of peach blossoms are countless in the Book of Songs, the oldest collection of Chinese poetry.
