Xiamen to further cooperate with S Korea in movie, TV industry

"Xiamen expects to learn from South Korea's rich experience in developing film and television industry," said Han Jingyi, deputy mayor of Xiamen, on Jan 25.
Han made the remark at a meeting with Hong Sung-wook, Consul General of South Korea in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
He said that since Xiamen is set to host China's most important film festival Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers this year, the city will take this advantage to promote the development of film and television industry.
The deputy mayor hopes the consul general will also advance South Korea's cooperation with Xiamen in many other fields, including trade and culture.
Hong Sung-wook said that he is willing to contribute to the cooperation between the two regions in film and television industry.
Hong admires the Chinese city's favorable business climate and thanked local government for its support to South Korean companies in Xiamen.
He also expects closer exchanges with Xiamen in economy, tourism and other fields in the near future.
