Xiang'an hosts painting and calligraphy exhibition


Aotou Town in Xiang'an recently hosted in its town hall a painting and calligraphy exhibition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy.


Entitled The Charm of Xiang'an in Paintings and Calligraphy, the exhibit included 160 pieces of calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and lacquer painting. Many of the included works referenced local and national progress under the reform policy.


The Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Xiang'an coupled with the district's Promotion Association for Recreational and Sports Activities to organize the event, which runs through January 15. The bulk of the items on display were created by local calligraphers and painters in Xiang'an.
