2018 XMIFW redefines the fashion industry

The 2018 Xiamen International Fashion Week (XMIFW) opened on November 23rd at halls A7 and A8 of the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center and will continue until November 27th.

The five-day event is supported by the Xiamen Municipal Government and organized by the organizing committee of Xiamen International Fashion Week.

With the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center as the main venue, the organizing committee has also set up two sub-venues in Huli and Siming district.

The 2018 XMIFW aims to create a city-wide gala through industry connections, fashion shows, exhibitions and forums.

Instead of focusing on fashion shows, this year’s edition addes exhibitions, interactions and industrial seminars. In this way, the XMIFW is updated to a brand-new platform that can meet visitors’ need for appreciation, experience, discussion and consumption.

In addition, the organizing committee is redefining the concept of Xiamen Fashion Week by introducing scene experiences and by combining fashion with the internet, manufacturing, and new retail.

Launched in 2015, the XMIFW has become one of the name cards of the city. It is an important festival for citizens to catch fashion trends and experience fashion culture. Also, it is a platform for fashion enterprises in the city to connect with the fashion industry worldwide. Fashion week provides room for local designers to grow and attracts more and more emerging talents to the city.
