203 maker spaces open in Xiamen

A total of 203 maker spaces have been identified by Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau in recent years, the bureau announced at a recent entrepreneurial activity held in Xiamen.

 

Among the 203 maker spaces, two are national demonstrations and 51 are provincial ones.

 

These maker spaces have welcomed 4,686 startup teams, which have obtained a total of investment of 2.21 billion yuan ($318.68 million) and offered 18,625 jobs.

 

Some 364 startup teams from Taiwan have been attracted by the maker spaces in the city, accounting for 10 percent of the city's startup teams.

 

Fundebug, one of the 4,686 startup teams from a maker space at Xiamen Software Park, UCOMMUNE, specializes in monitoring, fixing and analyzing bugs for various applications.

 

In less than two years, Fundebug has fixed around 800 million wrong data for thousands of technology teams from different industries.
