A total of 376 teams from home and abroad contended for the first prize at the 4th China College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Oct 13 to 15.

After fierce competition, students from Beijing Institute of Technology secured the top spot with their self-developed commercial driverless vehicle.

The driverless vehicle team has been established since 2012 and four years later they developed the first driverless racing car in the world, making China lead the world in the field of driverless vehicle.

The laser fluorescence porcelains by Xiamen University students and the artificial intelligence-assisted video production project by students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications were the first runner-ups of the competition.

Five other activities also simultaneously took place, including a technology promotion activity in China's poor areas, a series of activities themed on the Maritime Silk Road, an exhibition showcasing students' innovation projects, a seminar between prominent businessmen and student entrepreneurs and a project matchmaking activity.

Sponsored by China's Ministry of Education and Fujian Provincial Government and organized by Xiamen University, the competition has attracted 640,000 teams from China's 2,278 universities as well as 600 teams representing more than 50 countries and regions starting from March this year.
