Audio program to publicize thoughts on governance of China

2018-08-13

The Learning Time audio program launched by Xiamen's Siming district last year has become part of the Party lecture program of the Communist Party of China (CPC) News website, local media reported on Aug 10.

The audio program recorded the first part of a book about the country's top leaders' thoughts on the governance of China in the first six months of 2017 and gained popularity among Party members once released on July 1.

As a result of that, a learning team was established voluntarily by the listeners of the Learning Time program to make exchanges with each other about their reflections on the content.

Chen Jianping, a delegate to the 19th National Congress of CPC of Siming district, who has joined the learning team recently, spoke highly of the program, noting that it can encourage grass-roots Party members to learn the latest thoughts of China's top leaders on the governance of the country.

Chen added that the online platform is suitable for young Party members with busy lives to learn about the new thoughts in their own time and can also be useful to senior Party members to enrich the knowledge they already have.

The program now plans to launch more features, including interviews of related scholars and high-profile figures and expert's interpretations, to help its listeners better understand the new thoughts, according to You Xiaobo, initiator of the program and deputy director of the publicity department of Siming Distrcit Party Committee.
