Even-odd license plate traffic restrictions set for holiday season

Traffic authorities announced last week a series of traffic restrictions for the Spring Festival peak tourism season.

Eleven road segments will have restricted traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from February 16 through February 19. Private vehicles with license plates that end in an odd number will be prohibited from the restricted roads on February 16 and 18. Private vehicles with even-numbered plates will be banned on February 17 and 19. Traffic violations will result in a fine of 200 yuan and the loss of three points on the operator's vehicle license.

The restricted road segments include:

●Chenggong Highway from the Wenpin interchange to the Yanwu interchange

●Island Ring Main Road from the East Baicheng tunnel to the Yanwu interchange

●Huyuan Road from Wenyuan Road to the Zhonggushan tunnel section

●Lujiang Avenue from Xiahe Road to Zhenhai Road

●North Siming Road

●South Island Ring Boulevard from Daxue Road to South Yunding Road

●South Siming Road

●Yanwu Bridge from Zhenhai Road to Daxue Road;

●Yanwu Road

●Zhenhai Road from South Siming Road to Lujiang Road

●Zhonggushan tunnel.
