XiamenAir commits to $2B engine agreement

XiamenAir last week announced a commitment to procure 150 aircraft engines and the overhaul of 20 engines from France's Safran Group.

 

Developed by Safran Aircraft Engines and GE via the CFM International joint venture, the Leap-1B engine series is the sole approved power plant for the Boeing 737 Max aircraft. CFM has delivered more than 30,000 engines to over 550 operators worldwide.
