Santa Run promotes clean environment

Xiamen hosted annual Santa Run charity event near the Marco Polo last Saturday to raise environmental awareness. Festivities included approximately 400 participants in various forms of Santa gear who ran a six-kilometer course around Yundang Lake.
Iterations of the Santa Run, which originated in Nottingham in 1987, kick off annually in more than 100 cities around the world. Xiamen has hosted a Santa Run for the past four years. The Yundang Street Administration Committee organized the charity event, which also included a series of games and musical performances.
