Over 100 trains ply Xiamen-Euro rail routes

City transportation officials said last week that more than 100 trains plied routes between Xiamen and Europe through November.
A total of 44 trains carrying more than 3,000 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEU) of cargo traveled from Xiamen to Lodz, Poznan and Hamburg in Europe, while 19 trains carried 1,200 TEU of cargo to Moscow. An additional 26 trains hauled exports to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Imports included 13 trains from Moscow and one from Almaty. The total value of cargo carried on the various routes topped 1.8 billion yuan.
