Xiamen to ban drones from June to September

Xiamen is set to ban the unlicensed flying of small aircraft in a span of 4 months, from June to September.

 

According to the  statement issued by Fujian Provincial People’s Government,  organizations flying aircraft without authorization will  be fined from 10,000 up to 30,000 yuan and individuals  from 500 to 2,000 yuan. Small flying objects will be banned in Fujian province from June 1.  Xiamen will forbid flying aircraft  from June1 to September.30 in all the districts.

 

The banned flying objects  fall into three main  categories: manned aircraft, including light or ultralight aircraft, light helicopter,  glider, delta-wing aircraft, powered parachute, , hot-air balloon, and airship; unmanned aircraft, including remote-controlled toy drone and model airplane; and small objects floating in the sky, including unmanned free balloon, captive balloon, Kongming Lantern and large kites.

 

In Xiamen, all the possessors, producers or dealers of the above-mentioned objects are required to register with community police or local police station. Alternatively, they can send relevant information(contact, phone number, and address)  to Xiamen Public Security Bureau via xmzazd@126.com for registration.

 

Public security own the rights to block the vehicles temporarily with or without the requirements beforehand. All the objects will not be distrained after September30, 2017.Special flying permission during No-Fly period should ask Eastern Theater Command Air Staff.

 
During the No-Fly period, any organization or individual who violates the regulation will be fined.Citizens who report unregistered flying aircraft to the authority will be rewarded and the highest reward for  those who assist the police to uncover important cases is 100 thousandyuan.
