Xiamen to add 4,000 bicycle parking areas

City officials recently announced plans for approximately 4,000 bicycle parking areas spread throughout the island of Xiamen.
The parking areas will vary in length from four to 40 meters, depending on local conditions. Parking zones will include ground markings and will be outlined in green. The bicycle lots will be clustered around heavy cycle traffic areas such as major intersections, large apartment complexes and public institutions.
