Xiamen to host 9th BRICS Summit

The eighth BRICS summit opened last Saturday in Goa, India. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Michel Temer, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South African President Jacob Zuma attended the summit. (Pictured above)
The five leaders held a number of dialogues with representatives of the BRICS Business Council and with state leaders of various BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) countries at the summit. The Goa Declaration was issued when the summit concluded Sunday.
China will host the ninth annual BRICS Summit, which is scheduled to open in Xiamen next September.
