More than 300 Chinese and international fashion designers, industry representatives and government officials recently attended a news conference at the Paragon Shopping Center in the run-up to this year’s Xiamen International Fashion Week, which kicks off on November 5.

The nine-day event includes the debut of new fashion lines, design shows, vogue lifestyle shows and art performances. The event will include nearly 50 activities and guests from more than 100 countries and regions.

Perth Fashion Festival representatives Ryan McDemott and Yini Fu said during the pre-event conference that they hope to forge a cooperation agreement with Xiamen International Fashion Week that would cover media resources, talents and fashion exchanges. At the conference, representatives of the North European Art Center as well as several southeast Asia countries and the Netherlands showed strong interest in attending Xiamen’s Fashion Week.
