Yanwu Bridge observation deck to be completed next month

The construction of an observation deck atop Yanwu Bridge, begun last December, is nearing completion and is expected to open soon offering visitors good views of Gulangyu island.
The observation deck, situated outside of Yanwu Bridge near the sea on the Yanwu Road section, includes a walk-around balcony and viewing platform. The total length of the observation deck is 824 metres, consisting of a 628 metre long main track and a 196 metre long middle segment, with an area of 11, 250 square metres.
An official from the construction unit confirmed that the work is due to be completed in June, “People will be able to come here and enjoy the strikingly beautiful views of Gulangyu Island before long”, the official added.
