CIFIT roadshow travels to Sydney to woo businesses
Organizers of 2016 China International Fair for Investment & Trade welcomed Australian government officials, representatives of business organizations and local entrepreneurs at a roadshow in downtown Sydney on April 27.
Huang Rengang, commercial counselor at China embassy to Australia, attended the event alongside an audience of more than 100 from a variety of circles.
In a speech to the audience, Huang said that Australian businesses will get better oriented to the Chinese market by attending the fair and avoid making unwise decisions for their business ventures in China.
Qiu Guoyue, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, which is responsible for putting the fair together, attended the event and delivered a speech.
Qiu said that as the fair's organizer for the last 19 years in a row, the bureau has a wealth of experience. He added that as a networking platform, the fair has plenty to offer for businesses to achieve successes through cooperation. Qiu also expected the China Australia Free Trade Agreement that took effect last year to bring huge business opportunities to both countries.
The fair is held annually in the city of Xiamen, Fujian province in September. It encompassed product exhibitions, industry-specific workshops and business matching events for participants from across the world.
