Haicang New City

　　Haicang New City is located in the west of Xiamen and it has a planned land and sea area of about 30 square kilometers and a population of 250,000. As the administrative, cultural, financial and commercial center of Haicang District, it is designed to primarily develop the industries of finance, trade and commerce, seaside tourism, culture and sports.

　　1)Urban theme parks, landscape and cultural corridors, aquatic amusement centers and artificial island vacation resorts will be constructed along the 6km-long coastline and around the 2-square-kilometer artificial lake.

　　2)Haicang CBD is located in the center of the New City. It has a planned area of 1.1 square kilometers and is going to include multiple function zones, including Class A office buildings, SOHO offices, five-star hotels and commercial centers. An urban complex is expected to come into existence here.

　　3)Relying on port strength, an oil spot trading platform will be established to develop the shipping and logistics industry.
